My first Acrylic Album / Meeting Tiny

Well I actually scrapped not long ago. This album was done for Christopher's birthday. It is made from clear acrylic sheets from Lowes.

In case you don't know, Tiny is a person Chris met at Michigan International Speedway this summer. He works for the #24 Dupont Over the wall crew. He carries the front Tires.
These are the pages to the book. It was quite a challenge since you can see through the pages. So you have to be really carefull what you put on pages since you have to cover up the back side on the next page.

In the Spirit of the games!

One of the great ladies on the Cricut board (Melody) offered to cut this out for me. You see I desigend it but do not have the Cricut cart needed to cut the dragon out (Indie Art) so I wasn't able to cut it :-(. But I will get it, sooner or later.

Anyhoo, I desgiend this so that I would be able to document the great games that are going on in Beijing, China. The boys and I have been wathing alot of the games.

Making Music

As I prepare for a 12 hour crop this weekend (whoo can't wait) I got the urge to make a clairinet for my son's one and only band concert. You see his grades started to suffer from the two hours a day, twice a week they pulled him from class. As much as I love him playing an instrument, his educatiuon is more important to me. So I degress, I decided to work on a clairinet for his page. And Jeff Gordon got messed up and was sucking during the race (finished 42 in a 43 car field).
<---------- That is the end result. And I am really thrilled with how it came out. Not perfect. It is missing some keys and the spacing of the keys I did do is wrong. But darn it I am very proud of it. and I plan to use it with pride on my pages.
I'm also hoping to make some more cuts for pages this weekend so I don't have to wait on the machine at the crop. I think that is what slows me down so much. I mean I love the 15 page I got done at the swarm, but I'd like to get alot more done if possible. No I am going to get more done this weekend. If it kills me I am going to get more done. Period.
On a side note, only 17 more days till shcool starts. We are all getting nervous about that.

Well let's see what I have done since I last posted. It's been a few months, and I am sorry. Things get weird around here.

I've gone to a retreat (Gotta Scrap Inn) with mom. It was awesome as usual. I love going there once a year with her. Nice to get out and have just me time. No kids, no meals to worry about. Just three days (friday night-Sunday afternoon) of scrapping and having fun.

I've gone to proubly 3 crops with the ladies from the pack. They are always fun to go to. Great group of ladies.

I've gone to my first Cricut Swarm up in Port Huron with my sis and mom. It was a trip. Didn't get as much done as I wish I had, but it was great never less. Had a great time meeting alot of the ladies I read about on the Cricut board.

I've got my 2007 NASCAR album almost done. I think I Have like 10 more pages to do. Most Jeff Gordon and Harvick, since I've waited to do them till last. I wanted to try out a few different techniques on other drivers first. But sadly I've taken like 2000 more pics at the race this year. The boys stayed with us all week and we attened three races so there are alot of pics.

there have been alot of scraping oppurtunties since than. I will try and post some more layouts daily.... I will try.

Scrappin NASCAR 3

Well this one took me for ever to get just right, and I'm not certain it's there yet. But I am happy enough to actually use it in my book already. I used it on my Dupont on Pit Road pages.

Scrappin NASCAR 2

Can you tell what make my fav driver drives for? Yup Chevy (sorry honey Ford has no good drivers). This I've actually already used in my scrapbook.

Scrapping NASCAR!

Let's just say I've got NASCAR on my mind lately. I've got 7 days of camping and racing to dobefore we go to the race in June. So I am preplanning pages to work on for the retreat in April (can't wait! Yeah!!) This is my attempt at the NASCAR logo. The letters are the wrong font, but they do cut seperate so I can trim them up before I glue them down. And yes it will have the yellow, red, purple and blue behind the letters just like the real thing.
